I bought these sandals to replace a pair I bought 6(!) years ago. The old pair has been my trusty companion in all sorts of terrain. Originally I got them for rainy days when it’s too hot for boots, but slowly they’ve crept into all areas of my life. They’re actually amazing for running, hiking and even farming. I didn’t realize they would send me on a whole foot health journey, but my feet have gotten wider, my toes more relaxed, my ankles stronger, and my balance has improved. These are the sandals that led me to transition the rest of my footwear options to a minimal sole. I find the straps keep them solidly in place even if wet or muddy or full of soil. When backpacking in marshy places, I feel these are way superior to boots because they allow my feet to dry between submerges. When my old pair finally broke, I was still 8 miles from the trailhead, and I was able to tie the remaining straps together and carry on without much trouble. These sandals will not let you down! Highly highly recommend.
Got these for times when my homemade shoes were a little inadequate for steep pitches, lots of water, climbing on rocks. Uintas work perfectly in these situations.
Really comfortable! Over the toe straps make them very secure. Straps are very soft. My new go-to sandals!

I bought these because they looked comfy, but also stable. Flip flops and thongs will stabilize the front part of the shoe but leave the back open to slide around or let you slide out the back. Other hiking style sandals will stabilize the back of the shoe but only wrap over the top of the front of your foot, which allows you to slide forward in the shoe. These mix the best parts of both designs, and I absolutely love them. They disappear on your foot, and you don't even realize that you're wearing them when you get your fit dialed in. My wife thought they were ugly and made fun of me for buying more "hippy shoes" after I showed her pictures, but when I put them on, her exact words were, "OK, those actually look pretty sick." lol
I think they're great. Highly recommend.

Stand with your heel against a wall and place a ruler or measuring tape along your foot to measure the total distance from the wall to the longest part of your foot. If you already own a pair of Unshoes sandals, you will likely wear the same size but please check the chart to make sure.
