Custom Pah Tempe 2.0 Sandal

I have wide feet, so was happy to order using a custom wide template. The template was a great fit for my feet, giving me just enough room for my toes and heel, and a nice amount of room around my wide foot, too. Seemed like the perfect fit. I was aware that custom orders can't be returned or exchanged, but everything seemed like it would work out. When I got the sandals... the fit was NOT great. The plastic guides for the straps at the outside of my feet wanted to dig right into the edge of my foot, despite several adjustments. There is a spot under the footbed for the strap to go through, and that was somewhat uncomfortable, though I could probably get used to it. The straps on the inside of my feet just fit wrong, hitting almost painfully in the wrong place. I tried adjusting and re-adjusting, but it comes down to the template being right, the sandal being the same size as the template, and overall, the reality was not a good fit. The sandals are certainly designed and made well, and look great in person. They're just not for me.

I’m newer to the barefoot shoe seen and was looking for a sandal that allowed me to maintain the barefoot lifestyle but without having anything in between the toes. The Custom Pah Tempe 2.0 Sandal was the perfect option. But, I was unsure if I should go with the standard template or the #3 template (as I have flatter feet). I reached out to the customer service team and they helped me choose the best template for my feet (even asking for a picture of my foot standing on the templates, along with my foot length in inches, so they could give the best recommendation). I ended up choosing the Template #3 in a size 12 (foot length for me is 11.25”). When I ordered, the site stated a potential three week turnaround due to the sandals being handmade, but they shipped them out quite quickly and after some initial adjustments, my feet have grown accustomed to them, they are comfortable, and I haven’t felt any hotspots. I love the open toe design to allow the toes to spread. Just make sure the straps are fitted properly to the foot. If too loose, the foot can slide forward in the sandal in some instances, but as long as the straps are secure, your foot should be all good. I would recommend these in a heartbeat, especially if you love going barefoot and want that zero drop and ground feel.
